Here are my new colorwork mitts!! To be so simple, these little guys were tough!! Colorwork takes knitting to a whole new level. So much to think about and do when working in this style of knitting.
I wrote these up as a pattern. Right now, they are only notes in my notebook. I’m going to type it up and post it. I would love if some of you knitted them and gave me some feedback. I’ve never written a pattern. That’s tough, too!!
I’ve found some good videos on invisible seaming. I would like to make a really beautifully finished piece. Can we talk about how tough it is to work with black yarn? Dang it! I run out of daylight every day and never get around to getting these seamed. I simply can’t see the stitches well enough at night to attempt the seam technique. But, my goodness, the black yarn sure makes a pretty mitt. I used a Paton’s worsted wool for that part: inexpensive and easy to obtain. I knitting on size 6 US straight needles.
Well, tomorrow is the day! I really want to wear these!
